Procurement Category Specialist

This is a critical role within the organization, responsible for supporting the development and execution of sourcing strategies across assigned spend areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide analytical, administrative, and operational support to the Category Manager to ensure procurement activity aligns with business objectives.
  • Maintain supplier and contract records while driving value outcomes, compliance, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
  • Support the delivery of procurement category plans, provide detailed market analysis, and compile spend analysis reports to support the tender process and submission evaluation.
Requirements:
  • Experience in procurement, category management, spend analysis, supplier selection, vendor management, strategic sourcing, contract management, purchasing, and negotiation.
  • Proficiency in ERP and data tools, including JD Edwards or similar, Advanced Microsoft Excel capability, and data visualization packages like Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills, comfortable managing multiple competing projects, and adept at providing crisp insights to support findings.
