Job Summary:

As a Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, families, and support coordinators, providing information and support services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

About the Role:

This is a casual Support Specialist role working Monday to Sunday, providing high-quality support services to individuals with complex care needs. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Meeting the daily care needs of clients within the community
  • Providing support to clients presenting with complex care needs
  • Accompanying clients to appointments, social, and recreational activities, adhering to specialist plans and medication administration, personal care, manual handling, meal preparation as per NDIS plan goals

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A certificate-level qualification in Community Services, Mental Health, or Disability, or equivalent relevant experience in the human services industry
  • A valid NSW Drivers C-class license, with the ability to drive vehicles in license class, including large cars and vans
  • The capacity to lift 10 kilograms unassisted
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, other common systems

Desirable Qualifications:

Advanced knowledge of services and programs under the NDIS and understanding of Person-Centred Practices would be highly regarded.
