About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Recovery Support Specialist to join our team in Taree. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with lived experience of mental health issues to achieve their hopes and dreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to clients, focusing on their strengths and recovery goals.
  • Develop and implement personalized recovery plans, working collaboratively with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates to ensure the effectiveness of support plans.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of new initiatives and programs.

Requirements

  • Certificate IV or above in a relevant field, or a minimum of 2 years' experience working in the human services sector.
  • Strong commitment to recovery-based practice and a passion for supporting individuals with lived experience of mental health issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work arrangements.
