Maintenance Engineering Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, planning skills, and a proactive mindset.

Job Summary:

This is a hands-on role that requires the ability to manage both preventive and breakdown maintenance activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a site-specific maintenance strategy, including scheduling and executing preventive and reactive maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage both preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Develop and implement a site-specific maintenance strategy, including scheduling and executing preventive and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure accurate asset records and maintenance history in SAP.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance operations and lead weekly planning meetings with production teams.
  • Generate detailed reports on plan adherence, contractor performance, and completed work.
  • Manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are always available.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for equipment failures or recurring issues.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role.
  • Experience with SAP or similar CMMS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors and maintenance budgets.
  • Familiarity with safety compliance and regulatory standards.
