Job Title: Category Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue and category profit growth.

Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Take ownership of category planning and ranging, pricing and promotions, supplier relationship management, and negotiation.

Manage supplier relationships and participate in negotiations.

Create engaging value propositions for customers based on insights and data.

Monitor customer engagement in stores.

Work with stores to drive category success.

Manage budgets and forecasts.

Develop inventory and purchasing plans to maintain positive cash flow.

Report on category performance internally.

Contribute to promoting the company culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver business results through effective category management.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Develop and implement category strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in retail category management.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Proven experience managing successful supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • High level of initiative.
