Job Title: Senior Social WorkerAbout the Role:We are seeking a committed and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Locality Teams. This vital role is within Children's Services, managing cases from referral through to assessment, Child in Need, Child Protection, Public Law Outline, and initial court proceedings.This role is ideal for a social worker passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families who thrives in a fast-paced, supportive, and collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload from initial referral through to assessment, CIN, CP, PLO, and initial proceedings.
  • Undertake statutory assessments and develop child-focused plans addressing identified risks and needs.
  • Work in partnership with children, families, and multi-agency professionals ensuring effective safeguarding and support.
  • Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, core groups, legal planning meetings, and court proceedings.
  • Conduct home visits, direct work with children, and multi-agency meetings monitoring progress and reviewing plans.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records in line with statutory and local requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and continuous professional development activities.
Requirements:
  • Statutory qualifications as a registered social worker with a valid HCPC registration.
  • Proven experience working with children and families in a social care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
