Join to apply for the Social Worker (AHP2) - Yarrow Place role at Women's and Children's Health Network

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Yarrow Place team as a Social Worker, where you will be responsible for providing specialist counselling, case management, and group work services for people who have been subject to rape and sexual assault.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist counselling, case management, and group work services for people who have been subject to rape and sexual assault.
  • Manage complex client issues and advocate across health, legal, and community sectors, including writing reports for the justice system.
  • Design and deliver staff training, community education, and nationally recognised programs.
  • Lead and contribute to strategic projects, service planning, research, and evaluation initiatives.
  • Promote a collaborative, safe, and respectful team culture while actively supporting continuous service improvement.
About You / Qualifications
  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • A high level of written and oral communication skills including proven ability to communicate effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and contribute towards a cohesive team culture.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide crisis and long term counselling and group work services.
  • Proven ability to organise, coordinate, consult, liaise and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience working in crisis and trauma situations.
