Leadership Role

The role of Assistant Director is to nurture children's curiosity and exploration of the world. This position requires a high level of leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with families, children, educators, and the wider community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a team of educators
  • Building relationships with families and the wider community
  • Mentoring and supporting team members
  • Attending monthly meetings and workshops

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in early childhood education, preferably long day care
  • Minimum 2 years in a management role
  • A sound understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach
  • First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training
  • Working with children check
  • Working rights in Australia
