The Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) is the independent statutory authority responsible for ensuring that schools, employers of apprentices and trainees and providers of education and training meet quality standards.
Governed by an independent board that reports to the Minister for Education, the Minister for Skills and Tafe, and the Minister for Economic Growth, the VRQA helps support education and training in Victoria.

Your role
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer Schools, the Director Schools Regulation provides strategic guidance throughout the regulatory program lifecycle and drives compliance with minimum standards and the Child Safe Standards.
This key role is responsible for fulfilling significant duties including:
- delivery of school and other provider reviews and reapprovals
- strategic guidance and support to VRQA's approach to school sector regulation
- cultivating strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
- leading two teams and driving a values-based and positive culture of excellence
This is an ongoing role with a salary range of $188,297 - $256,088, offering hybrid work arrangements, meaningful and challenging work in an environment that encourages values-based leadership.

About you
Key to your success in this role will be your:
- trackrecord of achievement in leading project delivery within regulatory and legislative frameworks, or similar government context
- demonstrated ability to synthesise information to drive critical thinking and problem solving
- demonstrated influencing and stakeholder management skills
- well-honed people management skills
