Associate Director, Education Quality role at Swinburne University of Technology. Swinburne University is seeking a dynamic leader to join its Education, Experience & Employability division to lead the operational delivery of academic quality assurance frameworks, champion continuous improvement in curriculum design, and empower academic staff to enhance student learning and engagement. Reporting to the Director, Education Quality, you'll coordinate internal review cycles, ensure compliance with national standards, and foster strategic collaboration across academic and professional teams.
Responsibilities- Lead the operational delivery of academic quality assurance frameworks.
- Champion continuous improvement in curriculum design and student learning experiences.
- Empower academic staff to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Coordinate internal review cycles and ensure timely, rigorous program evaluation and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with national standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., TEQSA).
- Foster strategic collaboration across academic and professional teams.
- Report to the Director, Education Quality and contribute to governance and planning.
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Substantial experience in academic quality assurance, curriculum review, or program evaluation within a higher education, regulatory or similar setting.
- Strong understanding of, and experience working with, the Higher Education Standards Framework (2021) and TEQSA's risk-based regulatory approach.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and support stakeholders through change and improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership, collaboration and mentoring skills with the ability to manage staff and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written communication, including reporting, briefing, and policy development.
- A postgraduate qualification in education, higher education policy, curriculum and assessment, or a related field.
