  • About the Role: This is a casual position available for a highly skilled and experienced double bass music tutor to join our team at Brisbane Boys' College.">
  • Key Responsibilities:">
  1. ">
  2. Exhibit expertise and discernment in teaching and assessing the double bass, with knowledge of contemporary teaching and pedagogy.">
  3. Able to prepare students to a high standard, aiming for them to participate in examinations provided by organisations such as the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) and Trinity College London.">
  4. To be aware of relevant repertoire that promotes holistic and enthusiastic learning.">
  5. Required to provide a written report on each student at the end of both semesters.">
  6. Complete administrative tasks related to this position.">
  7. Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of group teaching.">
  8. Assist in supervising and attending concerts involving string players held at the college.">
  9. To monitor and encourage students' attendance at rehearsals and concerts.">
  10. To work with the Head of Performance Music in further developing string teaching at Brisbane Boys' College.">
  11. Demonstrate the ability to inspire, recruit and motivate students of all levels and standards.">
  12. Maintain student double bass numbers within the strings department.">
  13. Ability to contribute and work both individually and in a team environment.">

What We Offer: A casual contract with up to 1¾ days tutoring per week, term-time, including the Junior School Classroom Instrumental Music Program. We seek a highly qualified and experienced music tutor with tertiary music qualification and current blue card or eligibility to obtain one.
