Regional Engagement Coordinator

This position involves engaging with regional and remote communities to maximize participation in the Census.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, coordinate and deliver engagement activities for assigned regions.
- Maintain a record of engagement activities via the Stakeholder Management System.
- Develop and update engagement plans for areas of responsibility.
- Promote Census participation through community visits and presentations.
- Establish and maintain networks with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other Census staff to provide cultural considerations and area-level intelligence.
- Gather support from Local Government and community organizations.
- Provide in-field assistance for Census operational activities.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience or knowledge working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
They will be able to connect and engage with service providers, communicate effectively, and develop strong working relationships.
Strong local area knowledge and map reading skills are also essential.
