Project Engagement Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Engagement Specialist to contribute to the efficient delivery of infrastructure projects in Southern Queensland Region.

  • This role involves coordinating community and stakeholder engagement, developing communication strategies, researching and writing project materials, and providing media responses.
  • The successful candidate will provide strategic communications advice and support to project directors, project managers, and staff on community engagement, issues management, risk assessment, and communication strategies.
  • Duties include developing and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government officers, industry stakeholders, local business, and the general community.
  • The specialist will prepare executive correspondence and communications materials, researching and writing media statements, ministerial briefings, newsletters, flyers, display materials, speech notes, and website content.
  • Responsibilities also include researching and preparing project briefing materials and reporting for leadership and project teams, maintaining integrity and confidentiality.
  • The successful candidate will plan, develop, and coordinate key communication activities, such as community events, consultation activities, road openings, and media opportunities, contributing to the effective delivery of regional infrastructure projects.
