Resource Development Project Manager

About This Opportunity
This is a unique chance for an experienced leader to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of a major resources development project. The role requires strategic thinking, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the overall feasibility strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, environmental, heritage, approvals, commercial, and stakeholder engagement streams.
- Oversee technical studies including engineering design, metallurgical test work, infrastructure planning, and environmental baseline programs.
- Ensure integration of study outputs to support cost estimates, risk assessments, and decision-making.
- Direct risk management and implement mitigation strategies for key project risks.
- Engage with regulators, local communities, and industry partners to secure approvals and maintain a strong social licence to operate.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, reporting, and commercial planning, including early contractor engagement.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and governance bodies.
About You
- At least 15 years' experience delivering major projects in mining, metals processing, or heavy industry.
- A proven track record of success in senior project leadership roles, overseeing feasibility studies valued at A$500M+.
- Strong technical understanding of minerals processing plant, metallurgy, and associated infrastructure.
- Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Deep knowledge of Australian regulatory and permitting frameworks.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
