">We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as Associate Director, Inclusion and Aboriginal Partnerships.
This role offers a unique chance to make a meaningful impact in creating a more inclusive and culturally safe work environment.
The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and leadership in Aboriginal workforce attraction, professional development and cultural safety.
As a senior leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing initiatives to grow and develop the department's Aboriginal workforce, monitoring the implementation of workforce-related initiatives within the department's Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan, and providing expert advice and support for the development, implementation and review of Aboriginal traineeships, cadetships and/or graduate programs across the department.
To be successful in this role, you will require relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience leading statewide projects to improve Aboriginal outcomes in a large and complex service delivery organisation.
You will also need demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal people, stakeholders and communities to lift cultural capability, deliver on Aboriginal Workforce targets and other related initiatives within a statewide service or similar.
A proven management expertise at a senior level, including the ability to coach and develop teams to ensure high performance, is essential for this role.
Key responsibilities include providing strategic leadership and form partnerships to support the design and implementation of initiatives aimed at lifting cultural capability, belonging and inclusion to deliver improvements in cultural safety and culture.
You will consult and provide advice from a workforce perspective on state-wide programs and initiatives including Aboriginal employment, cultural safety, and inclusion and the shaping of new workforce systems and policies.
