Are you passionate about ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community priorities are embedded in health workforce reform? Would you like to lead systemic change by promoting anti-racist and culturally responsive approaches supporting the finalisation and implementation of an ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce Plan?
Do you enjoy working in a small values-led team dedicated to connection, empowerment, justice and kindness? Do you thrive in roles that bring variety and purpose?
We are looking for someone who has demonstrated experience in building, establishing and sustaining relationships and partnerships with local and national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders, including the health workforce, health leadership, the Aboriginal Community Controlled Sector, education providers and Community.
You\'ll work closely with the ACT First Nations Health Workforce Collaborative who provide cultural and professional governance associated with the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce Plan.
We are looking for someone who can provide high level culturally grounded policy advice on current and emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workforce approaches and leadership. This includes scoping, developing, implementing and evaluating projects based on cultural determinants of health and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing, being, doing.
The Office of the Chief Allied Health Officer is a small, creative and supportive team of allies. If you are interested in this role, and meeting some of the team, join us for an online information session on
Monday 15 September at 1:00pm.
If you are interested, please register at and we will send you an invite to attend.
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, veterans, younger and older workers, and people with diverse genders, sexes and sexualities to apply.
