Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Georgiou. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality rail infrastructure projects.

About the Role:

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and managing technical issues, planning, resourcing, survey, procurement, and quality control for assigned areas.
  • Covering typical Quality Assurance requirements on the project, as well as systems engineering and assurance requirements.
  • Managing rail assurance systems and quality plans, providing documentation and evidence across project stage gates.
  • Identifying relevant project lifecycle gates and acquiring approvals according to the railway integrity assurance plan.
  • Providing integrity assurance reports, assessing compliance, and making recommendations.
  • Demonstrating that the safety management approach is adequate and providing necessary evidence to substantiate safety claims throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assessing potential risks associated with the system and developing risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Recent experience working in systems engineering and assurance on rail projects.
  • 5+ years of systems engineering and assurance management experience.
  • Proven experience working with Queensland Rail and an understanding of the Rail Safety National Law (Queensland) Act 2017.
  • Ability to manage project audit schedules, ensuring all external/client/process audits are undertaken as required.
  • Encouraging a culture of disclosure and open discussion for all assurance and quality matters.
  • Providing detailed documentation, including tracking and categorization of each requirement.
  • Possessing relevant tertiary qualifications.
