Role Responsibilities

This position is part of the Retail division, where you will collaborate closely with colleagues and supervisors. Your responsibilities will include operating all machinery as per training and procedural guidelines, conducting maintenance on equipment, ensuring a safe environment, identifying hazards, and assisting in the acquisition of necessary parts.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Operate all machinery in accordance with training and procedural documentation.
  • Perform maintenance on equipment within the designated area, adhering to operational manuals.
  • Apply quality control measures to the operations, including troubleshooting and repairing basic and intermediate electronic and mechanical faults.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Carry out tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Review all tasks prior to initiation to identify and manage safety risks.
  • Ensure a safe environment for visitors by recognizing and addressing potential hazards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and notify the procurement team when parts are needed.
  • Engage with staff and management to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications Required:

  • Prior experience in a similar maintenance position.
  • Restricted Electrical License (disconnect/reconnect, Test & Tagging).
  • An Electronics qualification is highly valued.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with others towards shared objectives.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently when necessary.
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role, including manual handling tasks such as bending, reaching, and prolonged standing.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
  • Understanding of and adherence to Work, Health, and Safety principles.
