Job Opportunity Overview

An exciting career prospect for a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician with expertise in automated packaging and processing equipment.

This is an engaging and varied role, suitable for reliable, skilled and suitably qualified individuals who enjoy technical work and are comfortable with regional travel throughout Victoria.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Carry out service work as specified in existing service contracts
  • Install machinery and assist with the commissioning of new machines to customer requirements
  • Perform maintenance and repairs, execute modifications and upgrades of existing machines
  • Maintain internal relationships with sales and technical teams through effective communication
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualified Electrician with mechanical aptitude or a mechanical trade + restricted electrical license
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting skills (extra low voltage 24vdc)
  • Knowledge of motor and drive technologies (servo motors) and PLC control technology (not coding)
  • Strong computer knowledge, network structure, ethernet, ethercat & serial communication protocols
  • Experience in the food industry with packaging and processing equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with methodical approach to solving technical issues
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals & drawings
  • Intermediate knowledge in MS Office with comfort using various Apps/software on associated devices
  • Driver's license
