About the Role

As a Draughtsperson with the Australian Defence Force, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing military structures and supporting humanitarian assistance operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct client briefings and meetings to determine design philosophy and functional requirements
  • Conduct site investigations, surveys, and analysis, and prepare sketches to develop concept design
  • Create 3D CAD model flythroughs
  • Apply building codes and regulatory requirements to develop design and documentation
Training and Progression

You will undergo comprehensive training to develop the skills and knowledge required for the role, including site inspection and assessment, designing compliant products, and creating building layouts for a range of sites.
