As a Mechanical Engineering Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the design, planning, and installation of solar and battery systems.

This position involves working closely with engineers, project managers, and installation teams to ensure mechanical systems are well-designed, structurally sound, and efficiently installed.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting the mechanical design and layout of solar and battery systems
- Conducting on-site assessments and measurements
- Preparing drawings, specifications, and installation documentation
- Collaborating with the team during installations to resolve mechanical issues
- Ensuring mounting/racking systems are compliant and safely installed
- Contributing to system performance reviews and ongoing improvements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology (or similar)
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical or construction engineering
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and technical skills
- Comfortable working on-site as well as in the office
- Great communication and teamwork skills
- Current driver's licence and White Card

Bonus points for:

- Experience with solar panel racking or battery enclosure design
- Familiarity with Australian Standards (e.g., AS/NZS 1170, AS/NZS 5139)
- Experience in the renewable energy or electrical sector
