Lead Data Engineering Team

This is an opportunity to build a modern data ecosystem from the ground up and drive the development of a brand-new, greenfield data platform.

The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and growing our Data Engineering team while ensuring smooth operations and continuous delivery of high-quality work.

About the Role
  • Educate, mentor, and develop a data-focused team, ensuring they perform at their best.
  • Organise team work, set clear goals, and ensure accountability to successfully deliver data engineering projects.
  • Lead the build of a modern, scalable data platform from scratch while maintaining and gradually decommissioning the legacy system.
  • Oversee the transition to AWS, leveraging Redshift, Snowflake, and DBT Cloud or Core for data transformation.
  • Work closely with analytics, product, and business teams to define priorities, ensure alignment, and deliver value.
About You
  • Experienced people leader with a strong track record of mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing data engineering teams.
  • Previously worked as a Data Engineer and has hands-on experience in building and optimising data platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead and scale data teams, ensuring smooth operations and continuous delivery of high-quality work.
