About Our Team

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will have the opportunity to shape ICT strategy, mentor colleagues, and drive innovation in a highly visible government environment.

You will design, manage, and maintain robust internet gateway and data centre networking environments that support critical government services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Requirements: Evaluate and implement infrastructure requirements to meet future demand.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical support for project build, test, and deployment activities.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design and implementation plans.
  • Advice to Executives: Advise senior executives on technical and strategic ICT matters.
  • Mentorship: Lead and mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise and knowledge.
  • Emerging Technologies: Research emerging technologies and provide recommendations for adoption.
  • Collaboration: Engage with other agencies and service providers to enhance service delivery.
  • Operations Management: Manage operations including backups, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Maintenance: Oversee maintenance of patches, support packages, and network administration.
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum five years' experience in the design, management, and maintenance of internet gateways and/or large-scale data centre networking environments.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated technical proficiency with F5/Blue Coat Layer 4-7 switching/load balancing and proxy systems.
  • Cisco Technologies: Experience with Cisco Data Centre technologies (ACI, Routers, Nexus switches) and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
  • Palo Alto Firewalls: Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, IPS solutions, VPN technologies, DNS/Infoblox, and email solutions.
  • Cloud Services: Experience integrating hybrid/public cloud services and developing system architecture documentation.
  • Australian Government Security Frameworks: Knowledge of Australian Government security frameworks, including the ASD ISM and Essential Eight.
