Job Title: Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon

Central Coast Local Health District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical practitioner to provide high-quality patient care as a visiting medical officer in orthopaedic surgery.

The successful candidate will be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, with appropriate experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Orthopaedic Surgery. They will also have a demonstrated commitment to quality improvement methodologies and alignment with NSW CORE Values and CCLHD Values and Behaviours charter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing specialist care to patients requiring orthopaedic surgery services.
  • Working effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Leading and supervising medical and surgical trainees, residents, and medical students.
  • Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and aligning with NSW CORE Values and CCLHD Values and Behaviours charter.

Requirements:

  • Medical Practitioner registered or able to be registered in Australia, inclusive of an unrestricted or 19AB exempted provider number.
  • Recognised specialist qualifications, Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and/or other equivalent specialist recognition.
  • Appropriate experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Orthopaedic Surgery.
  • Completion of 12-month Fellowship in Complex Trauma and Revision Arthroplasty.
