We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Analyst to join our team in Sydney Western Suburbs. As a key member of our Corporate Finance team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business.

As a Strategic Business Analyst, your primary focus will be on solutioning and problem-solving for commercial teams, ideating data and analytics-based workstreams, and executing strategic initiatives aimed at achieving organizational objectives within a data practice.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with Data Engineers and engage with multiple stakeholders in the business. Your technical background in Data & Analytics, including Data Science, Data Engineering, and Data Visualization, will be invaluable in driving continuous improvement and strategy in a large organization.

Responsibilities

  • Solutioning and problem-solving for commercial teams
  • Ideation of data and analytics-based workstreams
  • Executing on strategic initiatives aimed at achieving organizational objectives within a data practice
  • Providing input into development and implementation of policies and procedures in alignment with company goals
  • Analysing market trends and competitor activities to inform decision-making and maintain a competitive edge
  • Evaluating performance metrics and financial indicators to assess the effectiveness of strategies and suggest adjustments as necessary

Candidate Profile

  • Proven success in solutioning and problem-solving for commercial teams
  • Technical background in Data & Analytics, including Data Science, Data Engineering, and Data Visualization
  • Strong ability and approach to thinking about and solving challenging problems
  • Ability to coordinate with Data Engineers and major stakeholders
  • Experience within Retail, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing is highly desirable
  • Strong PowerPoint and slide creation skills
  • Professional communication skills are essential
