About the Role

As a key member of our organization's Project Management Office, you will provide essential support to deliver projects across Queensland and New South Wales.

This role focuses on contract administration, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of contractual obligations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Contract Administration: Manage all aspects of contract administration, including drafting, reviewing, and issuing contracts.
  • Subcontractor and Supplier Engagement: Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure contract terms are met and resolve disputes efficiently.
  • Cost and Budget Management: Assist with monitoring and controlling project budgets, ensuring accurate cost tracking and forecasting.
  • Claims and Variations: Prepare and manage claims, variations, and progress payments, ensuring timely submission and approval.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and external parties to ensure clear communication of contract-related matters.
  • Risk and Compliance Management: Identify contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies, ensuring all contract activities comply with legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and organized contract records, preparing regular reports for senior leadership detailing contract performance and project status.
  • Support to Project Teams: Provide expert guidance and support to project teams on contractual matters, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Training: Provide training and support to new starters and existing personnel in Procurement, Contract Administration, Subcontract Management, Claims and Variations.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require a degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Law, Construction Management, or a related discipline. At least three years' experience in contract administration within the civil infrastructure sector is also necessary.

You should possess strong knowledge of construction contracts, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in contract management systems and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
