Seeking a highly skilled professional to manage and administer contracts, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of contractual obligations.

About the Role
  • Contract Administration: drafting, reviewing, and issuing contracts; monitoring compliance with contractual terms; processing variations and claims; and managing contractual notices.
  • Subcontractor and Supplier Engagement: engaging with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure contract terms are met; resolving disputes efficiently; and maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Cost and Budget Management: assisting with the monitoring and control of project budgets; ensuring cost tracking is accurate and aligned with forecasts; and identifying and addressing financial variances or risks.
  • Claims and Variations: preparing and managing claims, variations, and progress payments; ensuring timely submission and approval; and providing clear documentation to support these processes.
  • Stakeholder Communication: acting as a liaison between project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and external parties to ensure clear and consistent communication of contract-related matters.
  • Risk and Compliance Management: identifying contractual risks and proposing mitigation strategies; ensuring all contract activities comply with legal requirements, industry standards, and relevant policies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: maintaining accurate and organised contract records; including correspondence, approvals, and contractual documents; and preparing regular reports for senior leadership.
Requirements
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Law, Construction Management, or a related discipline; or relevant industry experience.
  • At least three years' experience in contract administration within the civil infrastructure sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including standard agreements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear correspondence and documentation.
  • Proficiency in contract management systems and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve contract-related issues efficiently.
