Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled digital acquisition leader to drive our technology strategy and execution using modern web technologies and robust engineering practices led by AI. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building a high-performing product engineering team from Sydney or Melbourne.

About the Role

  • Lead the technologists in our acquisition crew: the team responsible for attracting more customers to Unloan and converting them effectively.
  • Bring your creativity, leadership, and problem-solving skills to build a world-class digital-first acquisition platform requiring a strong culture of experimentation and product thinking.
  • Operate as a "mini-CTO" to shape and champion our digital acquisition tech stack and team culture.
  • Lead the charge as a tech-savvy builder, create great customer experiences using the latest tech, including GenAI, NextJS, Expo, TypeScript, GraphQL, CloudFlare, all on the Azure stack – focusing on shipping value quickly.
  • Data-driven and experimentation-lead – help drive important decisions that shape and effective acquisition strategy.
  • Manage the effective use of modern behavioural analytics, martech, and experimentation tools (like Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and LaunchDarkly).

Requirements

  • Expert hands-on engineers with deep experience in NextJS and/or Expo, TypeScript, GraphQL, and CloudFlare.
  • Expertise in working on or having delivered a GenAI chat experience.
  • Strong engineering foundations in testing, security, architecture, and robust design.
  • Product-minded technology-leaders who are skilled at balancing stakeholder interests, strategic value, and customer outcomes.
  • Strong team leadership and mentoring skills, with a track record of building collaborative, high-performing engineering teams.
  • Persistent and demonstrate grit and a can-do attitude to solving some of the biggest challenges facing the business.
