Job Description

The Chief Digital Transformation Officer plays a pivotal whole-of-government leadership role in shaping and delivering the Victorian Government's digital strategy. Reporting to the Deputy Secretary, the role provides authoritative advice to senior executives, ensuring investment decisions, policies and enterprise architecture align with government priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage technology to drive business innovation and growth
  • Develop and implement digital transformation strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex digital projects
  • Foster strong partnerships with departments, agencies and industry

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in working at a senior level to shape business strategy and promote innovation and improvement
  • Proven experience and demonstrated capacity to identify and address emerging infrastructure, network and platform issues through high-level conceptual analysis, risk management and providing advice to senior stakeholders
  • Effective people management skills and experience to support and create the conditions for highly-functioning, productive and engaged teams
