Business Analysis Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Business Analysis Lead to join our Technology Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality business analysis services and driving strategic outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, with a minimum of 5 years of experience working in multi-disciplinary software delivery teams. They will be proficient in operating hybrid delivery methods, including agile methodologies, waterfall delivery, and lean.

In this role, the Business Analysis Lead will partner with business representatives to deliver complex initiatives, influencing and shaping solution roadmaps by providing must-have, should-have, could-have requirements and trade-off analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement a structured methodology to capture scope and requirements, ensuring quality of work and stakeholder sign-off.
  • Engage in business analysis activities for complex initiatives, typically in the forming stage, to influence and shape solution roadmaps by providing must-have, should-have, could-have requirements and trade-off analysis.
  • Develop deep subject matter expertise for the domain across the team, manage performance and capacity, and effectively transition great people to areas of greater need.
  • Cultivate a strong bias for working within an operating model that prioritises forming persistent long-lived teams empowered to deliver on commercial and customer outcomes.
  • Coach and support teams and individuals to utilise their specialised skills to deliver results in cross-functional teaming environments.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in business analysis within multi-disciplinary software delivery teams.
  • Practical experience of operating hybrid delivery methods, including agile methodologies, waterfall delivery, and lean.
  • Experience working with delivery and collaboration toolsets, especially work systems like MS Azure DevOps and Atlassian.
  • Broad technology understanding of multiple platform types to enable effective collaboration with technical teams.
  • Excellent team and talent development skills, with evidence of having established high-performing business analysis teams.
  • Evidence of continuous improvement, developing purposeful solutions and practices to improve applications and team performance.
