About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Commercial Banking team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business lending opportunities for medium to large-sized businesses across Australia.

With a strong focus on origination, you will work closely with internal teams to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth and revenue. Your expertise in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders will be essential in achieving our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through your network and referral sources
  • Prepare and manage end-to-end new business transactions to ensure seamless handovers to relationship teams
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams to work effectively and collaboratively
  • Build and maintain strong referral networks to support origination activity
Requirements
  • Proven track record of high performance with flexible working arrangements
  • Origination success with new-to-bank commercial or emerging corporate clients across diversified industries
  • Strong established network and business development skills to leverage that
  • Strong project management and transaction execution skills
  • Ability to build strong internal relationships, professional presentation, and strong influencing skills
  • Strong credit risk analysis skills
