Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a Teacher to deliver course material, assess students and supervise students enrolled in selected courses in the School.

This is an ongoing role with flexible hours and on-campus work in Melbourne CBD.

About You:

You will interact with external organisations, industry groups and RMIT teaching and administration staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver course material to students
  • Assess student performance
  • Supervise students enrolled in selected courses

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching environments.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in competency-based assessment.
  • Demonstrated ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
  • Demonstrated experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position.
  • Demonstrated capacity to recognise learning difficulties in students, propose and implement effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.
  • Demonstrated skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.

Requirements:

  • Vocational Competencies and demonstratable recent experience within youth work.
  • Current TAE Cert IV Qualification or Diploma of Vocational Education and Training.
  • Certificate IV in Youth Work.
  • Diploma of Youth Work.

Desirable Previous Experience:

  • Previous work and/or teaching experience in specific units/areas.
