Urban Bitumen Maintenance Specialist

Role Overview
The Bitumen Patching Technician plays a vital role in the maintenance of urban bitumen patching and is responsible for the safe operation of Council's equipment.
Duties include:
- Maintaining equipment with daily checks, safety checks, oil and coolant checks, securing loads and equipment.
- Transporting materials and dispatching coldmix/hotmix material.
- Operating equipment with the tar patching unit in a safe manner and in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.
- Setting up traffic procedures by setting up correct traffic control on worksites in accordance with traffic control plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- MR Truck Licence
- WHS General Induction for Construction Certificate (White Card)
- Traffic Control Stop/Slow (Blue Card)
- Willingness to undertake additional training
- Demonstrated experience in truck driving
- Commitment to work health and safety
- Demonstrated commitment to honesty and integrity
