Network Operations Coordinator

About the Position
Yarra Trams, the esteemed operator of the world's oldest and largest light rail network, is seeking a dedicated Coordinator to enhance our operational capabilities. This role is essential for overseeing the development and execution of planned operational activities, ensuring the smooth delivery of services while maintaining the integrity of our tram network.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Network Events and Disruptions, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in achieving the Passenger Service Delivery franchise objectives and supporting the broader business strategy. The responsibilities include:
- Managing the operational aspects of the occupation plan;
- Aligning planning efforts with Network Readiness protocols;
- Tracking costs and monitoring budget compliance;
- Serving as the primary contact for Yarra Trams Occupations with the Department of Transport and other transport entities;
- Facilitating cross-functional collaboration in the development of the Network Readiness Plan;
- Preparing and submitting Network Readiness Plans to the Department of Transport;
- Ensuring the completion and quality of lessons learned documentation for planned disruptions;
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives for recurring events;
- Coordinating risk assessments and evaluations for network change events;
- Recommending enhancements to procedures and templates related to Network Events.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Transport Industry or Event Planning;
- A comprehensive understanding of Victorian public transport systems;
- Exceptional time management and prioritization skills;
- Strong analytical and conceptualization abilities;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Proficient conflict resolution and stakeholder management capabilities;
- Outstanding planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively;
- Proficiency in promoting solutions to network challenges;
- A strong attention to detail and accuracy.
