As we look to the future, we are seeking a skilled Coordinator to manage the development and execution of our operational planning related to network occupations. This role is essential for ensuring the seamless delivery of tram services and the successful implementation of network changes.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Network Events and Disruptions, the Coordinator will play a pivotal role in meeting our Passenger Service Delivery objectives and supporting the broader business strategy. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the operational aspects of the occupation planning process;
  • Ensuring all planning aligns with Network Readiness protocols;
  • Monitoring costs and managing the budget effectively;
  • Acting as the primary contact for Yarra Trams Occupations with the Department of Transport and other transport entities;
  • Facilitating cross-departmental collaboration to develop the Network Readiness Plan;
  • Preparing and submitting Network Readiness Plans to the Department of Transport;
  • Documenting lessons learned from planned disruptions, including occupations and special events;
  • Implementing continuous improvements for recurring events;
  • Coordinating risk assessments and evaluations for network change events;
  • Recommending updates to procedures and templates related to Network Events.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Transport Industry or Event Planning;
  • A comprehensive understanding of Victorian public transport systems;
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills;
  • Excellent analytical and visualization capabilities;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proficient conflict resolution and stakeholder management abilities;
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills;
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively;
  • A knack for proposing innovative solutions to network challenges;
  • The capacity to thrive under pressure while meeting operational deadlines;
  • A keen attention to detail and accuracy.
