Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, preparation, and cooking of a diverse range of meals to meet the dietary needs of our residents.
  • Participate in our current food operation, including cook-fresh and cook-chill systems.
  • Prepare and serve meals, ensuring a high standard of nutrition and presentation.
  • Prepare special diets and modified diets as required, taking into account individual resident needs.
  • Assist with meal preparation and service for functions and events.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Demonstrated compassion and empathy, with a passion for delivering exceptional resident experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Previous experience in bulk cooking, preferably in an aged care setting.
  • Ability to work efficiently and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Current knowledge of Food Handling Legislative requirements, including HACCP.
  • Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery, as well as Food Safety Certification.
  • Australian Working Rights.
