Job Title: Swimming Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Swimming Teacher to join our team at Belgravia Leisure. As a Swimming Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering effective swimming and water safety lessons to students of all ages and abilities.

About the Role

This is a casual role that requires you to work mornings, evenings, and weekends. You will need to be empathetic to the needs of the classes and have a passion for swimming and making children safer around water.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality swimming and water safety lessons to students of all ages and abilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of students
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain and improve teaching skills
Requirements
  • Current First Aid (Level 2) and Current CPR Certificate
  • Working With Children Check (or equivalent) and National Police Check
  • Current AUSTSWIM Certificate – Teaching of Swimming and Water Safety (or equivalent)
  • AUSTSWIM Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics (desirable)
  • AUSTSWIM Teacher of Aquatics Access and Inclusion (desirable)
  • Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded
  • ASCTA qualification also being accepted
