About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Maritime Design Manager to join our team in Brisbane or Sydney. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading large, multidisciplinary projects, coordinating between various disciplines, and managing complex project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead large, multidisciplinary engineering projects, coordinating between various disciplines
  • Manage complex project requirements, balancing stakeholder needs
  • Develop and maintain clear and effective communication throughout each project's lifecycle
  • Nurture relationships within the market, providing specialist technical advice and supporting business development activities

Requirements

  • Eligible for Australian Defence clearance
  • Minimum 15 years' professional experience in infrastructure sector designing &/or delivering Maritime projects
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including leading large, multidisciplinary projects with complex requirements
  • Demonstrated proposal preparation experience along with the ability to write clearly and fluently about technical subjects or project delivery methodologies
  • Experience working with the Defence sector and an understanding of how the Defence sector manages projects
  • Experience in the assessment, analysis, design and remediation of maritime structures (wharves, jetties, port developments, marinas, seawalls, pontoons etc)
  • Familiarity with maritime (Australian or other) design codes and guidelines in Australia and Asia
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
  • Eligible for Chartered Professional Membership and/or RPEQ/RPEV accreditation, or ability to apply for within agreed timeframe
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders and build effective project teams
