Job Title: Senior Structural Engineering Specialist

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and close-knit team as a senior structural engineering specialist. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the design and delivery of built form and defence sector projects, ensuring professionalism, client satisfaction, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead all aspects of design in structural engineering, from technical design and documentation to on-site completion.
  • Undertake site inspections, particularly in operating Department of Defence facilities, to ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
  • To build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • To prepare high-quality design sketches and details for drafting by technical staff, and oversee the development and documentation of designs.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent is essential.
  • CPEng or equivalent chartered status is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 5-10 years of industry experience in a consulting environment is required.
  • Strong communication and liaison abilities are necessary to engage with clients and other engineers.
  • The ideal candidate should have a strong practical understanding, proactive high-level thinking, and high attention to detail.
  • Must be eligible for Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Baseline Clearance.

This is a full-time position that offers a diverse range of structural engineering projects, with a key focus on built form and defence sectors. Local Darwin and Northern Territory project experience will be highly regarded.
