Senior Structural Engineering Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Darwin. As a key member of our close-knit team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural engineering solutions to our clients.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years' experience in a consulting environment and a strong understanding of built form and defence sectors. They will also possess excellent communication and liaison skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently within a busy team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and delivery of structural engineering projects from technical design and documentation through to completion on site.
  • Preparation of design sketches and details for drafting by technical staff and oversight of design development and documentation.
  • Undertake site inspections, particularly in operating Department of Defence facilities.
  • Practice safety in project design and delivery, supported by quality checking and verification activities.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Relevant industry experience in a consulting environment with 5-10 years' experience.
  • Strong communication and liaison abilities to engage with clients and other engineers.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently within a busy client-focused team.
  • Strong practical understanding, proactive high-level thinking and high attention to detail.
  • Must be eligible for Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Baseline Clearance.
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent is essential. CPEng or equivalent chartered status preferred but not essential.
