Overview

This is a full-time position for a Senior Engineer, Structural specialising in Built Form and the Defence sector with a strong focus on professionalism, client delivery and innovation. You will be a key part of a vibrant close-knit, innovative team in Darwin.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • All aspects of design in structural engineering. Involvement in projects from technical design and documentation through to completion on site.
  • Preparation of design sketches and details for drafting by technical staff and oversee the design development and documentation.
  • Undertake site inspections, particularly in operating Department of Defence facilities.
  • Practice safety in project design and delivery, supported by quality checking and verification activities.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Relevant industry experience in a consulting environment with 5-10 years' experience.
  • Strong communication and liaison abilities to engage with clients and other engineers.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently within a busy client focused team.
  • Strong practical understanding, proactive high-level thinking and high attention to detail.
  • Must be eligible for Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Baseline Clearance.
  • The ideal candidate would be applying their experience to a diverse range of structural engineering projects, with the key focus on built form and defence sectors.
  • Local Darwin and Northern Territory project experience will be highly regarded.
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent is essential. CPEng or equivalent chartered status preferred but not essential.
