Key Responsibilities:
  • Empower and motivate the team to provide high-quality care and education.
  • Demonstrate strong pedagogy knowledge and an understanding of child development.
  • Take ownership of the success of the centre and contribute to its ongoing growth and development.
  • Provide effective leadership and management to the centre while maintaining a holistic approach to childcare and education.
  • Demonstrate a track record of accountability and ownership in all aspects of the role.
  • Support the Centre Manager in planning and implementing effective strategies to achieve the centre's goals, including ongoing professional development, staff training, and performance management.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, families, and stakeholders by fostering a culture of collaboration, respect, and transparency.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, responding to changing needs and circumstances while remaining focused on delivering high-quality childcare and education.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Children's Services and/or Bachelor of Education.
  • Previous management experience is essential.
  • Budget and financial knowledge.
  • Deep understanding of the National Quality Standard (NQS) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Current First Aid and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
