Expert Construction Safety Specialist

As a Construction Safety Specialist, you will provide expert guidance and support to project teams to identify and manage occupational health and safety (OHS) risks, ensuring compliance with legislation.
Key Responsibilities:- Safety Assurance:
- Monitor construction project OHS practices by attending site inspections.
- Ensure appropriate safety protocols are in place and coach stakeholders in effective safety management.
- Consultation and Communication:
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential health and safety risks.
- Build relationships with contractors and external partners to enhance safety performance through open communication and mutual understanding.
- Communicate effectively to influence positive change and improve safety standards.
- Safety Management Systems:
- Understand our safety management system and implement processes as required.
- Administer tasks associated with implementation and record management of our safety management system.
- Review contractor safety plans for compliance with OHS and industry requirements.
- Safety Reporting:
- Work with project teams and contractors to ensure incidents are reported, investigated, and corrective actions are applied.
- Assist in collating safety data and reporting monthly progress.
