Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Health Safety Specialist to join our team in supporting risk management across various projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who can provide expert advice on health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

About the Role
  • You will be responsible for identifying and managing risks associated with construction, maintenance, and contractor work in a complex environment.
  • You will collaborate closely with safety teams to ensure legislative compliance and promote a strong safety culture.
  • You will also travel regularly between sites and campuses, requiring a valid Australian driver's license.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A background in Construction, Facilities Management or a related industry is desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Victorian Occupational Health and Safety Legislation is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, including influencing and negotiating outcomes, driving change, and creating a strong health and safety culture are required.
  • Ability to diagnose, analyze, conceptualize, and provide creative solutions to complex projects and issues is necessary.
  • Capability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with external stakeholders and key professionals is expected.
  • Ability to work independently, flexibly, cooperatively, and efficiently as a member of a client-focused team is required.
  • Proven ability to develop clear and concise written communications, including business, investigative, and audit reports and proposals is essential.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills, including negotiating a solution to a problem with multiple parties is required.
