Automation Technician Role

We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to deliver technical services to customers in South Australia.

In this hands-on role, you will support machine installations, conduct scheduled maintenance, and provide troubleshooting and repairs across automation systems.

  • Perform electrical service, installation, and repair work on automation equipment.
  • Deliver PLC programming/modifications as needed.
  • Interpret AutoCAD circuit diagrams and recommend system improvements.
  • Provide training to customer personnel on equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Complete detailed service reports, including part numbers and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely outcomes.
Requirements
  • A current Electrical Licence and 5+ years of post-trade experience in manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Proficiency with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Omron), robotics, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication skills, customer service focus, and a solutions mindset.
  • Experience with SEW AC/DC drives and mechanical aptitude highly regarded.
  • Flexibility to travel interstate as required.
