The Client is a specialist engineering consultancy leading the way in Australia's energy transition.

Job Description:

Our team is seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer to join our crew on a permanent basis. This role will focus on the design, implementation, commissioning, and maintenance of SCADA and substation automation systems. The successful candidate will be working with Citect SCADA, RTAC, and Siemens SICAM A8000 RTUs (including Cell Devices and Cell Switchers), ensuring robust and reliable operation within HV environments. Experience with the Ignition platform will be considered a strong advantage.

This role involves:

  • Designing, configuring, and commissioning SCADA systems using Citect SCADA, including HMI development and Cicode scripting
  • Integrating and configuring RTAC and Siemens SICAM A8000 RTUs (Cell Devices, Cell Switcher) for substation automation
  • Producing technical documentation including functional descriptions, logic diagrams, and commissioning test plans
  • Configuring and troubleshooting communication protocols for real-time monitoring and diagnostics
  • Overseeing on-site commissioning, testing, and validation of automation systems in line with project schedules
  • Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver compliant and reliable solutions
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control Systems, or related Engineering field
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience delivering SCADA projects, including RTAC and Siemens A8000 RTU configuration
  • Proven experience with Citect SCADA (HMI design and Cicode scripting)
  • Preferred experience with the Ignition platform
  • Strong background in high-voltage or medium-voltage substation automation projects
  • Demonstrated ability in commissioning, integration, and testing of automation systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
