Family Support Specialist

Job Description:

We are recruiting for various locations across Western NSW, where we work with families to promote their wellbeing and prevent harm to children.

As a Family Support Specialist, you will be working sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children or young people, as well as collaborating with other agencies and engaging in complex problem solving.

You will assist families in developing strategies to address safety and wellbeing concerns, provide appropriate assistance through home visits, and support the creation of safe and loving homes.

This role can be challenging, but it is also incredibly rewarding. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families, and contribute to building resilient communities.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be confident, curious, and resilient. You will require excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Paid working with children clearance number
