Senior Leadership Role

This position plays a pivotal leadership role in working collaboratively with Aboriginal children and families, government agencies, and sector partners to drive improved outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads complex casework involving trauma-affected children using culturally safe and therapeutic approaches to support healing and resilience building.
  • Guides and mentors staff to enhance their understanding of child development, trauma, and attachment particularly in the context of Aboriginal children.
  • Oversees harm investigations interviewing involved parties managing children on protection orders and supports staff in court-related work.

Requirements:

  • Recognised Social Work degree or similar welfare or behavioural related degree with primary focus on child development human behaviour family dynamics and/or impacts of trauma.
  • Valid Police Check Working with Children's Check and Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination strongly recommended.
