About this OpportunityThis is a challenging yet rewarding role for a dedicated and compassionate individual who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of Aboriginal children and families.
- The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in working with government and sector partners to strive for better outcomes for children and build the capacity of families so that children can remain at home safely or be transitioned home.
- You will oversee harm investigations, interview involved parties, manage children on protection orders, and support staff in court-related work including report preparation and testimony.
- Leading complex casework involving trauma-affected children using culturally safe and therapeutic approaches to support healing and building resilience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and experience in child development, trauma, and attachment.
- Oversee and lead complex casework, including harm investigations and court-related work.
- Develop and implement culturally safe and therapeutic approaches to support healing and building resilience in children.
Requirements:
- A recognised Social Work degree or similar welfare or behavioural related degree which includes a primary focus on child development, human behaviour, family dynamics, and/or impacts of trauma.
- Valid Police Check, Working with Children's Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and Victorian Driver Licence.
- Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended).
