Fortinet is a leading provider of network security solutions, and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Services Consultant to join our ANZ team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Professional Services engagements to Fortinet customers, ensuring timely and professional project delivery.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer requirements, including project scope, technical requirements, and solution design.
- Conduct on-site work at customer locations, maintaining a professional demeanor and representing Fortinet with excellence.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and testing of Fortinet security solutions in customer environments.
- Work independently to execute customer and Fortinet taskings, adhering to project timelines and quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment, providing technical mentoring, training, and coaching to other team members.
- Stay up-to-date with Fortinet technologies and provide best-practice advice during project delivery.
- Maintain expert-level technical knowledge in network security infrastructure, including switching, routing, SD-WAN, firewalls, and more.
- Develop and present high-level technical documentation, such as whitepapers and technical notes.
- Interface with Fortinet's business and technology partners, sharing knowledge and expertise within the organization.
- Communicate project information to Fortinet management as needed.
- Utilize conflict resolution skills to address interpersonal conflicts and issues.
- Adapt to changing workloads, demonstrating resilience and flexibility in managing shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Analyze technical issues, implement troubleshooting methodologies, and apply remediation where possible.
- Receive and follow direction from supervisors, team leads, management, and customer line management.
- Maintain high levels of efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail in executing job responsibilities.
- Apply effective time-management techniques and leverage strategic thinking to overcome technical challenges.
- Resolve and escalate issues in a timely fashion.
- Complete administrative tasks, such as timesheets, activity reports, and project reports, in a timely manner.
- Follow up with customers and internal departments to ensure project documentation is completed.
Requirements:
- A current NV-2 government security clearance is required.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a network security vendor.
- 5+ years of experience in LAN/WAN/Internet support or administration.
- 3+ years of experience with network security products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of the security threat landscape.
- Administrator-level working knowledge of Windows, UNIX, or Linux.
- Previous technical support position or sales engineering background is advantageous.
- Network security certifications, such as Fortinet NSE4 or above.
- External network security and vendor certifications, such as Cisco, F5, Juniper, or AWS.
- Strong understanding of core Internet protocols and applications.
- Scripting experience and API knowledge.
- Ability to work according to customer schedules, including weekends and evenings.
- Team player with ability to work remotely and interact with remote teams.
- MS Office suite skills, including PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Project.
- Ability to work well under pressure and remain focused on tasks.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network and security environments.
- Bachelor's degree in EE, CS, or CE or equivalent experience.
- Network security certifications.
- Project management certifications.
